Serve

For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

Mark 10:45

Attendees and members of King's Cross Church are the engine that drives us. With only one 'employee', we hold to the scriptural idea that everyone is gifted for service in the local church and encourage you to find your place here.

Our deacons oversee all day-to-day operations of the church outside of the direct responsibilities of the Elders. There are many areas that you can become involved in at KCC. From working with the fellowship committee or serving with the band, to facilitating our services in the tech booth or being part of our security team, there's a growing need for volunteers.

Opportunities to Serve

Service Support

It takes the whole community of faith to run our services! We need people to support us by opening the building, preparing the Lord's Supper, ensuring the pastors have water at the pulpit, setting up the Fellowship Hall, and everything in between.

Worship Team

Our music team is always on the lookout for talented musicians capable of singing, playing the piano, guitar, bass, or simple percussion. You can put your musical talent to work with us!

Broadcast

We've been actively building our in-person and livestreaming offerings significantly over the past few years. If you have the know-how, or desire to learn, to operate a sound console, run cameras, or switch a live show we have a place for you.

Communications

KCC is looking for people who love creating content!  Through web and app updates, graphic design, photography, social media, and document design we would love to hear from  you! All the better if you have video production skills as well.

Fellowship

Fellowship is crucial to us at KCC and if you enjoy planning events, hosting groups, or even simply enjoy making coffee in the morning, we need you!

Children

We have a large, vibrant community of children at KCC and adding more all the time! Our children's programs are in need of volunteers to help build and sustain this vital part of our community.

Volunteer FAQ

Who can volunteer?

Any regular attendee of King's Cross Church can serve! Although some areas of service are only open to members, there are many opportunities for non-members as well.

How do I volunteer with kids?

Our kids ministry is growing significantly and we're looking forward to having our members volunteer to build and support it. We need coordinators, teachers, and anyone willing to serve our children. You will need to go through a background check prior to working in our children's program and, depending on the area of service, may have to fulfill other legal requirements as well.

How do I volunteer?

Deacons oversee the majority of the volunteers and service areas at KCC. Take a look at the officers listed on our website and feel free to reach out to that person directly - either in-person, through email, or text. If you're not sure where your skills and gifts may fit, or you just want to put yourself out there, simply submit the form below and we'll make sure you get plugged in!

How much of a commitment is it?

We recognize that serving in a church means you're making sacrifices. You'll sacrifice personal time as well as time with your family and may even miss-out on fully participating in a worship service. Some areas of service are a larger commitment than others, but with a full-body of committed servants we can make sure that no one is un-necessarily burdened.
